Stand-up comedy returning to Convoy in the Park 2019
There is more than just trucks and racing to Convoy in the Park – on the Saturday night you can also watch an evening of top-notch live comedy.
After the success of the comedy night at Convoy in the Park in 2018, it is returning, again run in conjunction with charity Stand Up for Humanity https://www.standupforhumanity.co.uk/
Last year, acts including Roger Monkhouse – who writes for Channel 4 show 8 out of 10 cats – and Chris Norton Walker played in the Big Top to widespread acclaim. While this year’s acts have yet to be confirmed – there will be four comedians and an MC who are sure to be well-known names on the thriving UK comedy circuit.
This year, the Big Top has 600 seats – but be sure to get there early to avoid disappointment. A word of warning also – there is likely to be adult content in the acts, which may be unsuitable for younger ears.
Comedy is just one of the myriad of attractions at Convoy in the Park, which will be held on August 10-11 at Donington Park. As well as the heavyweight titans of the track in the British Truck Racing Championship, there will be more than 1000 show trucks, fairground rides, a trade fair and much more.
