John Henderson sent us this photo of a fantastic Foden 4000 XL, resplendent in demonstrator colours, in the service of R&P Aitken in the late 1990s. We have a feature coming up in the August issue on a Volvo FH with over 2 million km on the clock and we’ll be following that up with another on a Scania R500, also with over 2 million km covered. Therefore, we have decided, there is a bit of a theme forming here and we’d like to find high mileage examples from across our industry. British truck operators have been incredibly dedicated in keeping their vehicles running, so there must be a few cracking examples out there with immense mileages.
