Let’s be clear – we’ve always got plenty of time for trucks at weddings! Hugh Tuohy writes to us about his friend’s wedding, so take it from here Hugh. “Let me start by congratulating you on the new-look Truck & Driver. You have knocked it out of the park and the fresh new style is like a breath of fresh air.
“One of my best mates got married on 20 July; like myself, he is a proud trucker and he used his truck as his wedding car! It’s a 2014 Scania P410 eight-wheel tipper belonging to Mullacapple, County Louth-based Patrick Carberry Sand & Gravel, the operator we both work for. His name is Ian ‘Rinty’ Monaghan and his new wife is Sarah-Jane O’Brien. “He also had a model of the truck made for the top of the wedding cake! Congratulations to them both for the future – publishing the pictures in Truck & Driver would top off what was a fantastic occasion, surrounded by friends and family.” Hugh concludes: “Thank you for your time and consideration and keep up the good work.”
