Going for bronze – STORY OF THE MONTH!

Dave Lee was on hand to capture these superb photos. Kings Heavy Haulage of Bristol recently moved, through Plymouth, the largest bronze sculpture ever to be built in Britain. Weighing 10 tonnes and measuring nine metres wide by seven metres high, ‘Messenger’, as she was known, was transported from Millbay docks a short distance to the Theatre Royal in the city centre. Kings utilised a Volvo FH540 8×4 tractor and a brand-new Nooteboom four-axle low-loader for the move.
