Les Hughes Kerax treads lightly in the woods

Les Hughes & Sons Ltd, the forestry haulage specialist from Abermule, Montgomershire, has added a new Renault Kerax drawbar combination to its fleet, the first to be used on timber operations in the UK. Although heavier than the Landers which form most of the fleet of 10 trucks, director Tony Hughes has worked closely with Renault to ensure the Alumax body and lighter Epsilon 8m crane still give a competitive payload of 26.2 tonnes.
