Scotland’s Minister for Transport and Veterans, Keith Brown MSP, has announced today that he is proposing a 50mph HGV speed limit trial on the single carriageway sections of the A9 between Perth and Inverness. Assuming the necessary legislation is approved on schedule, the 3-year trial will begin next spring, and will run alongside the introduction of average speed cameras on the road.
