Biglorryblog hears that 2000 super swedes are heading for Stobarts

This fine photo  of a Stobart Scania in stunning scenery could probably deserve a BLB post all on its own. However it arrived along with the story that Scania UK has  gained its largest ever order, in fact the largest ever order for Scania in Europe. With the Stobart group and associated companies taking 2000  of the marque.

The majority of vehicles in the order will be supplied on 36-month contract hire agreements, including road fund licence and all repair and maintenance, which will be managed by Scania (Great Britain) Limited’s Fleet Care department with service provided locally by Scania’s UK dealer network. The model mix includes G-series 4×2 sleeper cab tractor units and R-series 6×2 mid-lift and 6×2/4 twinsteer tractor units, all with Scania Highline cabs. To ensure maximum efficiency in operation, the order specifies Scania’s 410 and 450 horsepower SCR-only Euro 6 engines.
