Location is important too says Biglorryblog

4th generation Family owned Transport Company H. Sivyer Transport, based in the shadows of the Thames Barrier in Charlton, has taken delivery of nine Volvo FMX tippers from Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London, Croydon. The nine represent the first tranche of what is a 25-strong order.

To show them off they arranged a photo shoot and for a company specialising in construction waste what better backdrop could you have than Canary Wharf?.   Managing Director, Simon Sivyer says: “Annually we collect and recycle approximately 1 million tonnes of construction waste from right across London and the Home Counties. We also produce about 400,000 tonnes of aggregate from waste.”

The trucks feature Day cabs, are fitted with Alcoa Durabrite aluminium wheels and are equipped with on-board weigh loaders, as they often take waste from sites without weighbridges.
Sivyers is a Gold FORS registered operator and will be trialling a new low-level nearside window to enhance cycle safety.
