Manfreight adds new flagship MAN TGX 26.640 Individual to its fleet

Ireland-based operator Manfreight has added a new MAN TGX 26.640 Individual flagship tractor unit to its fleet, specified to a high level and aimed at delivering both efficiency and driver comfort.
The truck is powered by MAN’s 15.2-litre D38 Euro 6e six-cylinder engine. Producing 640 bhp and 3000 Nm of torque between 1050 and 1450 rpm, it’s coupled with a 12-speed TipMatic automated transmission for smooth gear changes.
Visually, the vehicle stands out with polished alloy wheels, rooftop lightbar and airhorns, finished in the company’s signature orange. The model features the top-spec GX cab, which has earned a reputation as one of the most comfortable on the market.
Driver comfort was a key factor in the purchase decision. Inside, the cab includes a full suite of features aimed at long-haul convenience: a 12.3 inch professional navigation media system, MAN Advanced sound system with subwoofer, SmartSelect infotainment control with touchpad, smartphone integration and a multifunction leather steering wheel.
Additional comforts include a fully retractable under-bunk fridge, heated air-suspension driver’s seat with lumbar and shoulder adjustments, Climatronic air conditioning, a 110mm comfort mattress on a wooden slatted frame (800 x 2000 mm), and a fold-away dash-mounted table. Also fitted are a microwave, coffee maker, 22 inch flatscreen TV and MAN EasyControl system.
On the safety and visibility side, the TGX is equipped with automatic wipers, LED lights, light sensors and MAN’s acoustic turning warning device.
Chris Slowey, Manfreight managing director, said: “We’re already… getting positive driver reviews, notably the high levels of comfort and in-cab experience.”
This TGX 26.640 marks Manfreight’s first new MAN truck order in 25 years, following a successful demo period. It’s a notable addition to their modern fleet and a sign of the operator’s growing interest in high-spec trucks focused on both performance and driver wellbeing.
