Claim HGV drivers ‘racing each other’ dismissed by RHA

Logistics company fined after driver death

Tuffnells Parcel Express Ltd has been fined £1.5 million after a driver died after becoming trapped between a trailer and his vehicle. Dudley Magistrates’ Court heard how, on 22 January 2016, a Tuffnells employee was fatally injured while attempting to attach a trailer to his vehicle. DVSA begins nationwide crackdown on truck emission cheats

Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) enforcement staff are now routinely checking trucks they stop at the roadside across Great Britain for emissions cheat devices.
