Team Oliver Racing recharged for 2025 BTRC with ODYSSEY batteries

EnerSys, maker of ODYSSEY batteries, is set to power Team Oliver Racing for the 2025 British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) — marking the ninth consecutive year of partnership between the energy solutions leader and one of the sport’s most respected teams.

Team Oliver Racing are once again featuring the formidable line-up of 10-time BTRC champion Stuart Oliver, his son Michael Oliver, and returning driver Martin Gibson. Together, they’ll compete behind the wheel of a Volvo VNL and two MAN TGX trucks, each outfitted with EnerSys’ V4-certified ODYSSEY batteries. These high-powered trucks will also display ODYSSEY branding throughout the season.

“A high-performing, dependable battery solution is crucial to success in the world of motorsport,” said Dave McMullen, senior director of global marketing, transportation & specialty at EnerSys. “We’re looking forward to another exciting season with ODYSSEY batteries powering the performance of one of the most respected names in truck racing.”

The 2025 BTRC calendar promises action-packed weekends across top UK circuits — Pembrey (May 17–18), Thruxton (July 5–6), Donington Park (August 9–10), and Snetterton (September 13–14). The series also makes a return to mainland Europe with a round at France’s Le Mans Bugatti circuit (September 20–21), before wrapping up the season at Brands Hatch (November 1–2).

“We’re incredibly grateful to have EnerSys by our side for the 2025 season,” said Stuart Oliver. “Their battery technology has played a critical role in our success over the years.”

ODYSSEY batteries are engineered using Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, delivering high power, vibration resistance, and extreme reliability — a perfect match for the brutal demands of truck racing.
