Popular TV show Great British Bake Off, which is now broadcast by Channel 4 and started its new series on 27 August, features a lorry driver. Essex-based motorbike enthusiast Phil, 56, was introduced to the joys of baking bread in his home economics class at school. He bakes four or five times a week, frequently making focaccia, granary bread and brioche, as well as pastry.
