Dream Weavers! Trio of new Renault Range-T High tractor units for Weaver Haulage
Here’s a press release about three shiny new Range-Ts. Aren’t they smart?
Family-run Weaver Haulage Ltd has added three T520 High 6×2 pusher tractor units to its fleet. Supplied by Allports Group, the new vehicles with Gardner Denver blower equipment, are working on bulk powder across the Midlands and the South of England for cement clients.
The diligence and commitment to excellence by Allports Group Sales Manager, Jamie Watton and Service Manager, Chris Plant, along with their respective teams, combined with competitive pricing and driver appeal, were key influencers in concluding the deal.
Weaver Haulage Director, Bradley Harvey, explains why the Midlands-based dealer, Allports Group, is instrumental to his business’ success: “Since the pandemic, our work has doubled and the quick turnaround from the service team is crucial in running a slick operation. Although we have our own 3-bay workshop that we use for older vehicles, the team at Allports is maintaining the latest additions.”
Bradley continues: “From initial discussions, to compiling a bespoke vehicle specification, all the way through to delivery, Jamie Watton has been first class. Chris at Allports in Stoke has been vital in making the service side work for us; he just gets it.”
The T520 Highs are powered by Renault Trucks’ 13 litre engine producing a maximum 2550Nm of torque from 990rpm to 1400rpm. The vehicles feature a striking metallic black paint, complete with matching exhaust heat shield, door mirror shell and bumper corners, centre and steps. They are also fitted with additional front and rear lights, as well as Spot-On light bars and roof-mounted twin air horns.
Weaver Haulage has also specified Optivision Map Based gear shift strategy for FUEL ECO which anticipates topography and centralised data storage, and ECO Cruise control with Optiroll.
To further enhance their striking good looks, the vehicles have been specified with fixed roof deflector and side deflectors which also assist with fuel savings for their occasional refrigeration work.
Weaver Haulage’s trucks are out on the road 5-6 days a week, making driver appeal a crucial factor in the new vehicle selection. The driver-lead specification includes microwave, fridge, luxury seats, air conditioning and additional back cab lockers to maximise storage.
“Ensuring driver satisfaction is also essential for our operation’s sucess,” Bradley explains. “Our drivers appreciate the layout of the new truck, praising the cab’s size and spaciousness. The adjustable steering wheel position has been well-received, and the extra back lockers offer ample storage for extended trips.”
Bradley concludes: “We are delighted with the new vehicles and service received and we look forward to working with both Allports and Renault Trucks as we expand our fleet in the future.”
