Obituary – Alan Leighton

It is with deep sadness that we report the sudden death of Alan Leighton, aged 66. Alan passed away during
the first week of April 2019 and service to commemorate his life was held at Llanelli Crematorium on 17 April.

He was given a fantastic send-off and transported to the service on the rear of his beloved Austin FK40, driven by his nephew, Josh, accompanied by a convoy of 12 trucks.
Alan attended many shows in the Austin, which was discovered in a barn in West Wales during the late
1980s, Alan and Josh restoring it to its present condition. Alan will be greatly missed by his family and former work colleagues and friends. He leaves a great legacy within the West Wales trucking family and many lasting memories.
