Visitors to Convoy in the Park can try the latest in adrenaline sports – the bag jump

Fans of adrenaline activities have the chance to try a new concept at Convoy in the Park at Donington Park on July 22-23 – the bag jump.

Truck drivers and their families can test their mettle by jumping from various heights from a 12m container into a smoke-filled ‘pit of doom’.

The bag jump was originally designed to help train snowboarders and motocross extreme jumpers, but now the public can experience the rush of falling metres into an unseen landing point.

However, those interested in health and safety need not worry – those taking part land on an air-filled bag, which is specially designed to break a person’s fall without a risk of injury.

The bag jump is just one of many activities that will be on across the weekend of Convoy in the Park. Other attractions include truck racing, truck shows, live music, film screenings, a kid’s zone and much more.

Tickets for Convoy in the Park cost £15 for an adult day pass, or £25 for a weekend pass. Children under 13 go free!
If you want to book a show truck in, it costs £60 (includes 2 adult weekend tickets), while vintage show trucks (pre 1985) cost £30 (also includes 2 adult weekend tickets).
