DRIVEAWAY readies Iveco X-Way tippers for quick delivery

Iveco X-Way DRIVEAWAY

Iveco has launched a new DRIVEAWAY bodybuilder programme to deliver X-Way 8×4 tippers in a matter of weeks.

Customers have a choice of stock X-Way tippers and tipper grabs, with bodies built by tipper manufacturer Thompsons UK.

The tippers will have a single-skinned Loadmasterlite body with front-end tipping gear, air-operated auto locking tailgate and loadcells, while the tipper grab is equipped with an Epsilon M125 Classic crane with double-skinned Loadmaster body and air operated auto locking tailgate.

Bodies can be painted in customer colours or finished in black as standard.

Two engines are available on Driveaway: Cursor 11 420 or 460 bhp diesels. Depending on final spec, 32-tonne X-Way tippers can provide a payload of around 18,700 kg, and the tipper grab around 16,500 kg.

Many tipper 8×4 X-Way chassis in Off-Road configuration are already in stock at Thompsons’ Dover-based manufacturing facility, with dealer orders “taking a matter of weeks, rather than months” before they are built and delivered to customers, Iveco claim.

Operators can specify options such as larger or smaller fuel tanks and alloy wheels. For an additional cost, Thompsons can also install a range of extras including strobe beacons, work lights, rear chevrons and cameras.
