Biglorryblog spots new Ivecos are on the way for Clancy

Clancy Plant Hire, the UK’s largest operator of Iveco Trakker eight-wheelers, is to grow its fleet with a £1.5 million order for 23 new Euro VI Trakker rigids – including 14 replacements and nine additional vehicles – for delivery in the second half of 2015.

The firm currently operates more than 60 Trakker 8x4s and provides all Clancy Group plc companies, including Clancy Docwra, with vehicles and plant for operation on major utilities and development contracts across the UK.

Clancy Plant Hire uses its on/off-road Trakker fleet intensively. Each vehicle clocks-up around 40,000 miles a year and is in operation up to seven days a week, with some being double-shifted around-the-clock. Once the new trucks are in service, they will remain with the company for between five and six years and join a fleet of more than 1,400 commercial vehicles and 10,000 plant assets.

Bodybuilding slots have been scheduled with Thompsons commencing this summer, and every truck will be mounted with an HMF crane. They will also be fully Transport for London compliant, with a bespoke on-board camera and audible warning system for maximum safety.
